Today marks my final day at University, although I’m not sure anyone is really counting this semester 😂 I thought it was only appropriate to throw it right back to one of my very first days! Here we have fresher Zoe, ready to head off to Toga Party (with every other fresher at university). Little did she know what would actually be ahead of her 🙈 Initially for me, uni looked like 3-5 simple years to gain a BCom and/or LLB through the University of Auckland but damn was I wrong. From being horribly sick and developing Chronic Fatigue, to moving to 3 different universities (don’t @ me lol), to taking a semester off - this journey was all but smooth sailing 😫 18 year old Zoe was so naive when deciding what she would do with herself 😅 but I applaud her for always doing what she wanted, rather than following the herd 👍🏼 There have been a lot of highs, and too many lows for my liking. But over the last 3 and a half years I have learnt more about myself than I ever thought I would discover. I have made the most amazing friends, kept some old ones and lost some along the way too, I learned the value of my family on a whole new level, I discovered the best partner in crime to spend my days with (despite him being under my nose the whole time), and most importantly I learned to love myself and all the things I am capable of. Yes, uni was some of the best days of my life, but it also brought me some of the worst. However, I am so grateful for all that has happened as I can learn from it, and excitedly move on to the next chapter of my life 🙌🏼 So here’s to the end of my final semester, and please exams if you’re reading this, let me pass - I really don’t want to go back right now!!!
